PROCTOLOGY DEPARTMENT

The Surgery Clinic’s Proctology Department is located in the A block at Paldiski mnt 68, on the 5th floor. The department diagnoses and treats various proctological, coloproctological and pelvic diseases, including:
 
– haemorrhoids, fissures and fistulas;

– benign and malignant tumours of the colon and rectum;

– obstructed defecation syndrome, prolapses, invaginations etc.;

– various digestive problems requiring surgical treatment;

– diagnosis and treatment of general surgery diseases;

– various hernias;

– diseases of the gall bladder and bile ducts;

– reflux disease and bariatric surgery;
 
Modern therapies include classical and laparoscopic operations as well as minimally invasive endoscopic procedures. All of the most common methods of testing and screening are in use – endoscopy, computer tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound, and peristaltic function test and defecography.
